Developing trend of SAW device package

As the mobile communication frequency is extended from 900MHz to 1800MHz and 2400MHz and above, the SAW filter for mobile communication is also increased to the corresponding frequency band. Several companies have supplied 900MHz and 1800MHz dual-band front-end modules, the so-called "2in1."
A typical example of an SAW multichip module is the TDK front-end module for dual-band EGSM-DCS mobile phones in Europe. The front-end module contains a duplexer, a Tx-Rx switch, a low-pass filter, a surface acoustic wave filter and about 20 inductors and capacitors.
